Can Amazon sell virtual items? What products can it sell?

There are many modes and ways to operate online stores. Some friends used to operate Taobao Tmall stores, and now they start to operate cross-border e-commerce stores. There are some similarities, but also some differences. Today, let’s talk about whether Amazon can sell virtual items?

ASIN quantity

Bundles must contain between 2 and 5 ASINs. Each component ASIN must be available for purchase separately. This means that multipacks and "multi-boxes" (i.e., a single ASIN shipped in multiple boxes) cannot be created using this tool.

Examples of eligible and ineligible bundles:

Red Pen (2) - This cannot be a bundle as there is only 1 ASIN.

Red Pen (1) + Blue Pen (1) - This can be a bundled product.

Red Pen (4) + Blue Pen (7) - This can be a bundle because there are 2 unique ASINs.

To include multiple units of an ASIN in a bundle, add the ASIN to the bundle. Then, click the number “1” next to Quantity in Bundle to share the quantity of the ASIN component in your sellable FBA in-stock inventory.

Pricing

Bundles can be priced at less than or equal to the sum of the prices of the bundled items. The most successful bundles often offer attractive discounts.

If the bundle price is higher than the sum of its component items, the bundle will not be eligible for the Buy Box. The bundle price will remain the same even if the price of one of the component items changes; it is the seller's responsibility to monitor the bundle price and update it if the pricing of one of the component items changes.

The main components of a bundle

You can select any ASIN in a bundle as its primary component. The primary component helps determine the search and browse categories for the bundle. The bundle ASIN inherits the search keyword functionality from its primary component ASIN.

Once a bundle is created, the main component cannot be changed. If you need to change it, delete the bundle and recreate it. Use a different SKU, or make sure to wait 24 hours before reusing the same SKU.

Amazon Anti-Selling Method 1

1: Prevent copycat sales by combining listings, giving gifts, attaching product labels, or changing product packaging;

2: Register a brand and put a "brand" on your listing, that is, a brand that has been successfully filed on Amazon. As long as Amazon sellers register a US brand, apply for a US trademark, and apply for brand filing and protection from Amazon, their products can be protected nationwide in the United States (US site).

PS: It takes time to register a brand. If you find someone is copying your store's products, it is recommended to change the packaging of your store immediately, or bundle other products (customized or designed products or small gifts, etc.) together for sale. This will greatly reduce the risk of being copied.

Amazon Anti-Selling Method 2

After filing, open a case to confirm with Amazon whether the brand filing has been successful, and then check whether there is already a brand gating. Then the follow-up sale can only be followed by used. The specific method is to UPSTO to register the brand (make sure you can query it to be in a normal live status), register the brand on Amazon, and open a case to remind Amazon that the brand filing registration has been completed and requires brand gating or brand restricted.

Brand gating is the first large-scale restriction activity carried out by Amazon on brand follow-selling. Some sellers say that strictly speaking, brand gating is an extension of brand registry, that is, sometimes you want to follow-sell some brands and there is a category review for this type of sale, but Amazon will still say that you do not have sales authority.

The sale of virtual items involves many legal issues. Amazon will not touch this business for a long time. At present, legal virtual item sales are more common in small countries like South Korea or in countries and regions where the law has little dignity.
