Amazon US will increase MCF fees

Amazon's US site announced that in 2023, Amazon will adjust multi-channel fulfillment (MCF) fees and introduce improvements, including faster shipping speeds, free integrator applications, and enhanced freight tracking capabilities.

Starting January 19, 2023, U.S. MCF fees will be adjusted to reflect Amazon’s significant investments in increasing shipping speeds and adding new features.

MCF will continue to offer a first-class delivery service with average prices lower than market alternatives, discounts of up to 50% on multiple orders and no extra charge for unbranded packaging.

At the same time, Amazon announced that it is increasing standard shipping speeds from seven days (from "click-and-delivery") to five days. Amazon will also continue to offer expedited three-day shipping and priority two-day shipping.

Amazon also recently launched new MCF capabilities, including free installation of MCF app experiences for BigCommerce, Wix and Adobe (Magento), and ISO/IEC27001:2013 certification for IT security systems.

It is worth mentioning that Amazon Japan recently issued an announcement stating that if sellers want to suspend operations at the end of the year or the beginning of the year, please change the "listing status", "shipping time (lead time)", and "delivery pattern" in advance to avoid affecting performance indicators.

Please note that only January 1 (Sunday) and January 2 (Monday) are national holidays in 2023. January 3 (Tuesday) will be regarded as a shipping working day as it is.

Products associated with a planned shipping mode of Seller Pre-Prime or Expedited Shipping must be changed to Standard Shipping Only. Sellers can review and change the shipping lead time by going to Settings in Seller Central, selecting Shipping Settings, and then selecting the General Settings tab.

Some couriers may not accept collection or delivery at the end of the year or the beginning of the year. Please confirm in advance whether the courier company you have signed a contract with the seller will arrange collection and delivery during statutory holidays.

If the seller uses a specified delivery date and time, holidays will be considered as shipping dates. If you do not ship on holidays, please uncheck the specified shipping date and time in the shipping settings.
