AWS stands for Amazon web service, which is a cloud computing service platform under Amazon. It provides a complete set of infrastructure and cloud solutions for customers in various countries and regions around the world.

1. What is Amazon AWS used for?

AWS provides users with a complete set of cloud computing services including elastic computing, storage, database, and the Internet of Things, helping enterprises reduce IT investment and maintenance costs and easily migrate to the cloud.

From a conceptual point of view, AWS provides a series of hosting products to help us complete various software development requirements without physical servers, which is what we often call cloud services.

2. Main functional modules provided on AWS

As shown in the above three figures, we can see that AWS provides many functional modules to meet various business needs.

Let’s take calculation as an example:

In AWS computing modules, in addition to the most common EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud), which is a virtual machine on the cloud, AWS provides:

LAMBDA: used to provide ServerLess Application development, supporting mainstream languages ​​such as Java, Python, Go, etc.

ECR: Amazon Elastic Container Registry, a service for managing container images, similar to the concept of container warehouse

ECS: Amazon Elastic Container Service, a container orchestration service provided by AWS itself

EKS: Elastic Kubernetes Service, Kubernetes technology provided by AWS running on the cloud

Lambda: Run code on the cloud without worrying about servers. You only need to write code related to business logic, and submit it to Lambda to run directly. No server or installation environment is required.

In general, Amazon AWS is a cloud platform. Its advantages are that it has many functions, the largest customer and partner community, the highest security, and the fastest innovation speed.
