How is Amazon's warehouse relocation fee calculated? Detailed answer

When doing business on Amazon, if the merchant's products are damaged for some reason and occupy inventory, they need to be moved out. At this time, there will be a transfer fee. So, how is Amazon's transfer fee calculated?

The whole process will mainly incur the following fees (the fee details charged by different overseas warehouses are different and are for reference only):

1. Amazon's service fee for removing the order and shipping it to an overseas warehouse;

2. Overseas warehouses charge a label change service fee;

3. Packing fees charged by overseas warehouses;

4. Freight charged by local logistics providers.

The total service fee for Amazon to remove the order and send it to the overseas warehouse is: $146.5;

The label change service fee charged by the overseas warehouse is: 0.5 USD/piece x 293 = 146.5 USD;

Overseas warehouses charge packing fee: 5 USD x 5 boxes = 25 USD

Shipping fee charged by local logistics company: 15 USD x 5 boxes = 75 USD

The total cost of the above is: US$393, which is equivalent to RMB 2711.7 (exchange rate 6.9).

If the cost is evenly distributed to each product, it is RMB 9.26. Therefore, friends should have a number in mind before planning to use the warehouse relocation and relabeling service. If the product cost increases by RMB 9.26, is it still necessary to relocate and relabel? If the product value is low, the cost will be high after adding this fee. If there is still profit after accounting, then it can be operated, but it is just a matter of making less money.

Standard size charges are as follows:

0 to 0.5 lbs: $0.25, 0.5 to 1.0 lbs: $0.30, 1.0 to 2.0 lbs: $0.35, and over 2 lbs: $0.40 + $0.20/lb (for the portion over the first 2 lbs)

Oversized items and items requiring special handling* (Items requiring special handling may include items in the "Apparel," "Shoes," "Watches," and "Jewelry" categories and dangerous goods.) The fees are as follows:

0 to 1.0 lbs $0.60, 1.0 to 2.0 lbs $0.70, 2.0 to 4.0 lbs $0.90, 4.0 to 10.0 lbs $1.45, over 10.0 lbs $1.90 + $0.20/lb (over the first 10 lbs)

If the removal order meets the conditions, only the removal order fee will be charged. The following are the limiting factors given by Amazon customer service:

2. Inventory may not be transported to another Amazon fulfillment center;

3. Inventory may not be used to deliver buyer orders or used as gifts or promotional items;

4. Only inventory classified as “non-transportable dangerous goods” can be disposed of.

The above is how Amazon's relocation fees are calculated. Amazon's relocation fees are divided into standard sizes, large items, and items that require special handling.
