1. How long does it take for Shopee to cancel an order?

If the buyer needs to modify the order due to a change of mind or ordering the wrong product, the seller can use the chat function to ask the buyer to cancel the order before shipment, without having to spend extra manpower to assist the buyer in cancelling the order.

However, please note that sellers are not allowed to ask buyers to cancel orders through chat due to their own reasons, such as product out of stock, damage, or incorrect price setting, so as to avoid affecting the user's shopping experience.

If the system detects that the seller is asking the buyer to cancel the order due to personal reasons, an additional 2 points will be awarded according to the standards of the seller scoring system.

However, if the buyer needs to cancel the order due to factors such as the buyer changing his mind and wanting to change the order content, placing the wrong quantity, running out of materials or forgetting to use the discount code, it will not be included in the scoring.

2. There are 2 situations for canceling an order:

1. Cancel immediately

Once the buyer presses the cancel order button, the Shopee system will cancel the order immediately without the seller having to take any action.

Immediate cancellation occurs within 24 hours after the order has been paid/passed the cash on delivery review, and the order number has not been applied for/logistics tracking code has not been entered on the Shopee system

2. The seller accepts cancellation

Once the buyer presses the cancel order button, the Shopee system will notify the seller, and the seller must respond whether to accept the cancellation of the order.

The seller accepts the cancellation after the order has been paid/passed the cash on delivery review 24 hours later, or the order number has been applied for/the logistics tracking code has been entered on the Shopee system, and the goods have not yet been shipped.

If you accept the buyer's request, the Shopee system will cancel the order immediately

If you reject the buyer's request, the order will return to the "pending shipment" status and the seller can continue with the shipment operation.

If Shopee cancels an order, you need to cancel the order yourself through the chat function before shipment. If you cancel the order after shipment, it will require additional manpower to assist the seller in canceling the order. There are two situations for canceling an order, which you need to understand.
