In order to check which platform has the cheapest products during the 618 period, Brother Pan conducted a price comparison on Taobao, JD.com, and Pinduoduo.

Brother Pang found that the lowest prices of digital 3C products such as iPhone14, Switch, DJI Mini3, Dyson HD15, etc. on the three major e-commerce platforms are different. On the other hand, daily FMCG products such as Mengniu pure milk, Li Ning Shiguang women's shoes, Kiehl's ultra-moisturizing face cream, and Coco Tree coconut water also show different reserve prices on the three major platforms.

Brother Pang found that many people would encounter such unpleasant things as overpaying or overbuying during the 618 shopping period; directly comparing prices of goods and not waiting for the 618 period to place orders seem to be two magic weapons to fight anxiety. After all, the purpose of launching the 618 shopping festival is to help people save money, and consumers who are eager to try should pay attention to comparing prices before placing orders.

1. Digital 3C, starting a price war

The 618 Shopping Festival is here, and many friends are opening their wallets and preparing to go shopping online, but many people are confused about where to place an order at the cheapest price.

After all, the three major e-commerce platforms, Taobao, JD.com, and Pinduoduo, have different ways of playing the 618 activities and different levels of subsidies for platform products. Friends who are unaware of the truth may accidentally buy products at a high price.

Brother Pan discovered that during the 618 period, the lowest price for a 128GB iPhone 14 on Taobao was from a store on Global Shopping, and the discounted price was 4,569 yuan; the lowest price on JD.com was from a merchant on JD International, and the price was 4,818 yuan; the lowest price on Pinduoduo was 4,879 yuan in the 10 billion subsidy channel.

The popularity of "The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Tears" has made Nintendo a top player again. Pang Ge found that the lowest price of its Chinese version of the Switch game console on Taobao is 1,509 yuan; the lowest price on JD.com is 1,623 yuan; and the lowest price on Pinduoduo is 1,489 yuan from a global shopping merchant.

At the same time, the lowest price for the DJI Mini3 drone on Tmall is from DJI's official flagship store, which is priced at 2,389 yuan; the lowest price on JD.com is also from DJI's official flagship store, and the price is also 2,389 yuan; the lowest price on Pinduoduo is 2,303.9 yuan in a personal store.

Brother Pang discovered that the Dyson HD15 hair dryer was priced at 3,199 yuan in the Dyson official flagship store on Tmall during the 618 shopping festival; the price was 2,819 yuan in the Dyson official flagship store on JD.com; and the price was 3,199 yuan in the Dyson official flagship store on Pinduoduo.

After comparing the prices of the above four products, Brother Pan found that for digital 3C products, the three major e-commerce platforms, Taobao, JD.com, and Pinduoduo, each have their own advantages in terms of the lowest prices, and it is difficult to tell who is better among them.

2. Who has the lowest price for daily fast-moving consumer goods?

Digital 3C products that cost thousands of yuan do not seem to be a necessity for some people. Therefore, Brother Pang also compared prices on the three major e-commerce platforms for daily consumer goods such as clothing, cosmetics, and snacks.

Brother Pan found that if only the official flagship stores are selected, the same 16 boxes of 250 ml Mengniu pure milk have a discounted price of 32 yuan in the Mengniu flagship store on Tmall; the price in Mengniu’s self-operated flagship store on JD.com is 37.9 yuan; and the group purchase flash sale price in the Mengniu flagship store on Pinduoduo is 36.8 yuan.

On the other hand, the lowest selling price of Li Ning Shiguang women's running shoes on Tmall comes from a Li Ning store, with a price of 168 yuan during the 618 shopping festival. The lowest price on JD.com comes from Li Ning's official flagship store, with a price of 198 yuan. The lowest price on Pinduoduo also comes from Li Ning's official flagship store, with a price of 238 yuan after coupons.

In the above price comparison, the price of Tmall does not include the two large coupons of 88vip 5000-400 and 1500-120. In addition, the price comparison is conducted on the enterprise stores of each platform. If the price comparison scope is expanded to the entire platform and personal stores are included, what will the price comparison result be?

On the other hand, Brother Pan found that the lowest selling price of the Coco Tree brand "1 Coconut Water" product, which comes in 6 boxes of 330 ml, on the Taobao platform is 15.9 yuan in a certain personal store; the lowest price on JD.com is 32.1 yuan; and the lowest price on Pinduoduo is 25.56 yuan.

After comparing prices for different categories of goods on the three major e-commerce platforms, Brother Pan discovered that although the concept of 618 was first proposed by JD.com, it has now become a veritable "National Shopping Festival."

At the same time, in addition to the three major e-commerce platforms of Taobao, JD.com and Pinduoduo, live broadcast platforms such as Douyin and Kuaishou have also launched various 618 discount activities.
