How does DHL charge fuel surcharge? How is it calculated?

DHL is an international express delivery service and one of the most commonly used delivery methods for cross-border e-commerce merchants. It is calculated by adding the freight plus the fuel surcharge multiplied by the discount, plus other uncertain surcharges. How is the DHL fuel surcharge charged?

1. How to calculate DHL fuel surcharge?

For example, if the fuel surcharge rate for the month is 12.5%, and the official DHL shipping cost is 100 yuan, then the actual freight is 100*1.125=112.5 yuan. 112.5-100=12.5 yuan, and this 12.5 yuan is the fuel surcharge. The fuel surcharge is adjusted at the beginning of each month according to the increase in international oil prices.

2. How much does DHL Express charge?

What is the standard for DHL fuel surcharge? DHL fuel surcharge is charged based on each 20kg of each item. For example, if it is a single item, a fuel surcharge of 150 yuan will be deducted within 20kg, but if it exceeds 20kg, an additional fuel surcharge of 50 yuan will be added for every 10kg. Therefore, it mainly depends on the quantity and weight of the items you transport.

3. What are the DHL charging standards?

DHL charges are based on the universal freight calculation method. Universal freight calculation method: express first weight freight + (total weight KG × 2-1 express first weight) × additional weight freight.

Insurance can be purchased for each shipment. If you need to purchase it, please inform the online customer service as soon as possible before payment. The insurance fee is charged at 2% of the amount, with a minimum charge of 15 pounds and a maximum of 800 yuan (the actual value of the goods must be claimed, otherwise the claim may not be successful). The charging unit for all pricing is 0.5KG, and the entire price is calculated in yuan, excluding import duties or taxes, customs clearance fees, and corporate value-added tax and other possible additional fees. Gasoline surcharges are already included and charged at 17%.

The above is an introduction to the calculation method of DHL fuel surcharge. However, international oil prices will also change, with a larger or smaller increase, so the fuel surcharge will be adjusted once at the beginning of each month.
