How does Amazon deliver goods by itself? How does it work?

Amazon has three delivery methods: overseas warehouse, self-delivery and FBA. The English abbreviation of overseas warehouse is SFP, and the English abbreviation of self-delivery is FBM. So, how does Amazon carry out self-delivery?

How does it work?

Amazon FBM means that the seller is responsible for the packaging, delivery, and after-sales process.

Step 1: Contact the logistics company

First, the seller must find a logistics company. Generally, it is necessary to use air transportation, because the transportation time of sea transportation is relatively long, which greatly affects the buyer's shopping experience. After that, you have to pack your goods and wait for the logistics company to pick them up.

It is recommended that you choose based on the logistics company's overall strength, qualifications, fees and services.

Step 2: Cargo Transportation

The logistics company will book a space with the airline company, and then transport the goods to the designated airport for loading; then transport them to the destination by cargo plane or cargo-carrying passenger plane, and then clear customs. Generally, double customs clearance services are provided.

Step 3: Product delivery

After customs clearance, it will be delivered by local logistics companies. For large goods, it is usually delivered by UPS, TNT and other companies. Small products will be delivered by express companies such as DHL to the buyer's delivery address, and then the buyer will sign for it.

After Amazon sellers ship the goods, they also need to go to the seller center to ship the order. Click "confirm shipment", then click "carrier" to select various domestic couriers, then fill in the waybill number, and finally click "confirm shipment" to complete the Amazon order shipment.

Sellers can also choose to transport the goods to a third-party overseas warehouse first. When a buyer ships the goods, the overseas warehouse will arrange the shipment. This can improve the transportation efficiency of the goods and save logistics and transportation costs. The storage fee is also cheaper than FBA. And because it is shipped locally, it is more competitive.

For new Amazon sellers or sellers with a small number of orders, it is more advantageous to choose to ship by yourself; however, because the shipping time is longer, it also has a certain impact on the buyer's shopping experience. The main choice for everyone is whether to ship by themselves based on their actual situation.

The above is an introduction to the process of Amazon's self-delivery. There are three channels for self-delivery, each with its own characteristics, and merchants can choose according to their needs.
