Amazon is a cross-border e-commerce platform that everyone knows. Since everyone has chosen to engage in cross-border e-commerce, they naturally have a certain understanding of this platform. Amazon has a transparency plan, but many merchants have never heard of it. What is the Amazon transparency plan? 1. What is Amazon Transparency? Amazon's Transparency program is a new service for brands and consumers. It tracks every product to protect brands and consumers from counterfeit goods. Wherever there are brands, there will be counterfeits. In order to combat copycat sales and counterfeit products, Amazon launched a beta version of the Transparency Program as early as 2017. The test results and response were good, so Amazon officially launched the Transparency Program in 2018. The Transparency Program was initially launched only in the United States. After several years of development, it has now slowly expanded to Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and India. II. How the Transparency Scheme Works 1. After joining the Transparency Program, Amazon will grant sellers a QR code (a blue T mark), which corresponds to a 26-digit Transparency code. For Amazon sellers using FBA, Amazon requires that a QR code be printed or affixed to the packaging of each product sent to the Amazon warehouse. Amazon will scan the QR code and allow your product to enter the warehouse only after verification. Once the product is found to be counterfeit or inferior, Amazon will destroy the batch of goods and remove your buybox. For sellers who follow the sale of FBM, Amazon requires that the correct QR code be provided for verification when submitting the listing offer, otherwise the follow-sale will not be possible. 2. After receiving the product, the buyer can also verify the authenticity by scanning the QR code, and even see a series of information such as the product's brand, manufacturer, origin, attributes, expiration date, etc. How much information consumers can see depends on how much information the manufacturer has uploaded to the transparent database. III. Requirements for joining the Transparency Program 1. You are the brand owner 2. It has passed the brand registration 2.0, that is, the trademark registered for the brand is the R mark. 3. Limited to the following sites: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and India, but TransparencyApp can only be downloaded in the United States 4. Each product packaging can be affixed or printed with a QR code label Amazon Transparency is actually a new service provided to brands and consumers. It is mainly to avoid the emergence of counterfeit goods, so each product will be tracked and protected, which greatly reduces the situation of goods being replaced midway.
