Recent observations: Fancy ways to pay for knowledge

Through the author's personal experience and observation, this article deeply analyzes the current situation and challenges of private domain knowledge payment, and shares strategies and methods for successful transformation. From low-cost starting to sales skills for high-customer-unit products, to the development trends of the industry, this article provides valuable experience and insights for those who want to succeed in the field of knowledge payment.

As we all know, the public domain is becoming increasingly difficult, and everyone is transitioning to the private domain.

What does private domain transformation do? Either it is selling goods or it is knowledge payment.

I have been immersed in the private knowledge payment circle for more than half a year. From the beginning of this year to now, I basically know how others play, and I have also seen the decline of some products. Below I will share with you my recent observations and thoughts~

01

Whether you have thousands or tens of thousands of fans on your own media, or have made five figures from a side job, or are good at a certain skill and have achieved results, you can teach others how you got the results and make money from the information gap.

Even if you think everyone around you knows how to do something, there are always people who don’t know how to do it among China’s 1.4 billion people. People with 80 points can teach people with 60 points, and people with 60 points can teach people with 0 points. This is the golden saying in the knowledge payment circle.

Some people may be confused, for example: I only have a few thousand followers on my public account, how can I make money? I can only make a few hundred yuan from advertising, and it is not easy to teach others to run a public account with this result.

If you think like this, you will fall into restrictive thinking. You don’t need to have hundreds of thousands of fans before teaching others how to create their own media. With just a few thousand fans, you can teach people with no basic knowledge to create an account!

Nowadays, traffic is becoming more and more expensive, and users' attention is becoming more and more scattered. It is really harder than climbing to the sky for us to continue to sell knowledge products and make money.

The first sale is OK, after all, you have a private domain foundation. From the second time on, you will slowly find that the traffic is exhausted. But there are more solutions than difficulties. Some people in the private domain are already doing alliance and fission sales, and this trick really works.

For example, this spring, Uncle Mao sold Knowledge Planet for 365 yuan. In addition to selling it himself, he also invited his students to help him sell it. The gameplay is to sell products together with rich people - earn commissions by distributing - get influence by ranking - back-end product conversion. Let's talk about it in detail below:

  1. Product bundling to attract rich people: Uncle Mao is considered the first person in the private domain IP circle, with great popularity and influence. Students use Uncle Mao's IP to attract attention and bundle their own traffic products, achieving two goals at one stroke;
  2. Earn commissions through distribution: Students who help sell planets can also get commissions from distribution, achieving three goals at one stroke;
  3. Gain influence by ranking: There are a lot of students participating in the bundled sales. In order to increase the overall sales scale, the "ranking" method is adopted to increase the enthusiasm of students to attract new students, achieving four goals at one stroke;
  4. Back-end product conversion: After the students’ traffic products are sold, during the traffic product delivery process, the users are converted to high-priced products, achieving five goals in one go!

High-order products generally refer to products with a price of tens of thousands. I used to think that I would never buy such an expensive knowledge product, but at the end of last year, I bought a product worth 20,000! Looking back now, it still seems incredible.

However, because I bought this product, I accidentally entered the knowledge payment circle, met a group of lovely teachers, and knew the direction of my future side job.

Everything has two sides, and this may be arranged by fate. High-order products are actually similar. They are basically products that "teach others to make money". The sales technology and delivery path are also similar. Let me break it down below:

  • Users of high-order products: highly educated, high-paid women who pursue a life of heroine and have a strong desire to make money;
  • Sales techniques for high-order products: open courses provide value + private chat/friend circle reach + one-to-one consultation reach + super gifts + limited time and limited quantity;
  • Delivery of high-order products: online training camp + offline closed-door meeting/outdoor expansion. In addition, during the public course sales lectures, the teacher will create your ideal state after buying the course, that is: the side business surpasses the main business, and you achieve a free life.

Think about it carefully, isn’t it attractive?

Have the students who graduated from high-customer-order products received results?

Less than 5% of my batch of graduates earned back their tuition fees, and most of them earned a few hundred or a few thousand, or made no money at all. Students who learned the private domain technology began to find their own students to monetize the skills they learned, so the private domain industry of teaching people how to make money is becoming more and more competitive.

Recently, I have observed that the leading institutions that teach people how to make money have begun to downplay products with high customer orders and heavy delivery, and are moving towards products with medium and high customer orders and light delivery. I guess it is because the students cannot get results, the delivery is too heavy and the cost is too high, so they change the product direction.

The above is my recent thinking on knowledge payment. I hope it will inspire you.
