On this basis, he also needs to get positive feedback from his creations in order to keep writing. Whether it is the creation itself or posting his works online and getting likes, comments, and reposts, this process makes him feel happy. On the other hand, people with higher education will not have any problem with writing skills, but most people just cannot get pleasure from writing long articles, and may even find it painful. I have also met people like this. Although writing is their main occupation, they just can't find their own writing style no matter how hard they try. Their writing skills have not improved for many years. The more they write, the more uncomfortable they feel, but they still keep competing with themselves. What we value is mainly the positive meaning and value, that is, those things that will make our body and life better. Creation, like exercise, is a positive activity that should be done more often. Unfortunately, compared to fitness, the positive feedback loop of creation is more difficult to establish and maintain over the long term. The differences in our biological basis are particularly frustrating because we really can’t fight our biological nature for long. If you always do things that you are not good at or don’t like, it is easy to fall into self-denial, or even anxiety and depression over time, which goes against our original intention of “making ourselves better”. But this doesn’t mean just lying down and accepting your fate, because there is another thing you can do: screening . Many people have a wrong perception in life, that is, the so-called "practice makes perfect" and "diligence makes up for lack of talent". They always want to break through some of their own obstacles and expect quantitative changes to bring about qualitative changes. Fighting against your own shortcomings, pursuing people who are indifferent to you, cultivating subordinates with no potential, and raising children with mediocre qualifications...are all extensions of this kind of thinking. In fact, what is more constructive is the screening logic, that is, discovery rather than cultivation. Internally, find the points that are suitable for you and have positive value, that is, things that you can do well by relying on self-motivation. For example, some people have poor learning ability but strong hands-on ability, and some people are not good at writing but are good at shooting short videos. Externally, expand the denominator, select rather than cultivate the right people, and allow yourself to be selected by more people. In short, don't get stuck on a certain point about someone. Admit that some people just can't do a certain job, that you're not a popular person, that your children aren't that good, that you just can't get some clients, etc. Acknowledge individual differences and don't waste time. Seeing this, some people may say that the reason why ordinary people are ordinary is because they have very limited choices. That's right, that's why I suggest you create. Expand your personal influence through content, so that more people have the opportunity to know you, and you have more choices. This is one of the few things that ordinary people can do, and it is very cost-effective. But the physiological foundation blocks my skill points and I can’t do anything creative. Isn’t this a vicious circle? After talking about screening logic for so long, let’s apply it in practice. For example, if you can’t create the content yourself, you can always screen the content. On platforms such as WeChat Moments, official accounts, and Xiaohongshu, we can select and condense good works, select and purify the content, not to mention that we now have tools like ChatGPT. I call this kind of work content service. Large platforms rely on editing or intelligent recommendations to provide content services to the general public, but if you have unique content consumption tastes or certain professional backgrounds, you can provide information services for segmented groups of people and expand it into a business. For example, if you can't filter out promising directions and reliable people, you can change your mindset and first filter out directions that are likely to be pitfalls and unreliable people. For ordinary people, taking fewer detours is equivalent to taking shortcuts. In short, we cannot fight against physiological differences, but we should not make excuses for ourselves. At least, you can be more flexible and select the main direction and cooperation partners that suit you, and don't waste time and energy on the wrong people and things.
