How to authenticate a PayPal account? Introduction to authentication methods

After registering a PayPal account, you need to authenticate your account. Obtaining account authentication can enhance the trust of buyers and prove that you own the account. So how do you authenticate your PayPal account?

There are currently 2 ways to obtain PayPal account verification:

1. Confirm UnionPay card (instant authentication)

Add your UnionPay card to your PayPal account and select Confirm Card. Authorize China UnionPay to send you a verification code via SMS.

Without leaving the current page, you can enter the verification code and complete the authentication process instantly.

1. Log in to your PayPal account

2. Click the Funding tab, then click Link Bank Account

3. Enter your UnionPay card details and click Add Card

4. Click Confirm Now and the UnionPay website will open in a new window

5. Enter the relevant information as required and authorize China UnionPay to send you a verification code via SMS.

Enter the verification code on the same page and click OK.

2. Confirm your credit card

Add your Visa or MasterCard credit card to your PayPal account and select Confirm Card. This will generate a 4-digit code on your online credit card statement within 2-3 business days. Log in to your PayPal account and enter the code to complete the verification process.

2. Click the Funding tab, then click Link Bank Account

3. Enter your credit card details and click Add Card

4. Click Confirm My Card. This will generate the 4-digit verification code required to complete the authentication

5. Please check your online credit card statement for the verification code within 2-3 business days, then log in to your PayPal account and click Confirm my debit or credit card in the To Do List.

6. Enter the 4-digit verification code from your online credit card statement and click Confirm Card to complete the PayPal account verification.

The above is the introduction of the PayPal account authentication method. If you use a bank savings card for authentication, it will take 5-7 days. Credit card authentication can be completed on the same day.
