Amazon's US and European sites have announced the latest warehousing time for Black Friday and Christmas. Sellers should prepare goods in advance to ensure that the goods are delivered to Amazon's distribution center before the specified date. For the US site, the latest warehouse entry time for Black Friday week is November 2, 2022; the latest warehouse entry time for Christmas is December 1, 2022. For European sites, the latest warehouse entry time for Black Friday week is November 4, 2022; the latest warehouse entry time for Christmas is December 11, 2022. In addition, media reports said that Amazon has decided to scale back its massive delivery business amid slowing sales growth and has now abandoned dozens of existing and planned facilities across the United States. Consulting firm MWPVL estimates that Amazon has closed or canceled plans to open 42 facilities across the country, totaling nearly 25 million square feet of available space. MWPVL also said the company has postponed openings at another 21 locations totaling nearly 28 million square feet and canceled some European projects, primarily in Spain. This week, Amazon also announced plans to close two delivery stations in Maryland next month that employed more than 300 people. The moves are a stark contrast to previous years, when Amazon typically rushed to open new facilities and hire thousands of workers heading into the fall in preparation for the holiday shopping season. At the same time, Amazon recently launched the Amazon Logistics Small and Light program. After joining, sellers' products will not only enjoy the Prime logo, but also enjoy lower delivery costs. Now, the Small and Light program has joined Amazon's European Integrated Logistics Service (Pan-EU). After successfully registering for the program in each country, you can enjoy logistics and warehousing services at the same time. Amazon Logistics Europe Integrated Service (Pan-EU, hereinafter referred to as Pan-EU) is a warehousing and distribution solution launched by Amazon specifically for sellers expanding in Europe. Sellers can flexibly set inventory storage countries (France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic) according to their business expansion priorities. By registering VAT numbers in more countries and regions, or manually opening more storage countries, Amazon is allowed to sell and store goods in more countries and regions. |
