Compared with cross-border e-commerce platform giants such as Amazon, Lazada has a lower entry threshold.

The basic entry materials required are:

1. Possess a legal business license registered in mainland China or Hong Kong

2. The product complies with local export requirements and local import requirements

3. Have certain cross-border e-commerce experience or have more than 100 products

Regarding the entry fee, Lazada's commission rate is between 1% and 4% (6% to 8% in Vietnam), and new merchants are currently exempt from commission for 90 days.

When opening a store on Lazada, you can use its own logistics channel - LGS Global Logistics Solution (Lazada Global Shipping), which solves the complex freight process of the first and last mile, and significantly reduces the expensive freight costs incurred by backward infrastructure in some parts of Southeast Asia. Lazada has established at least 30 warehouses and "last mile" distribution centers in 17 cities in 6 Southeast Asian countries, and 80% of orders are delivered by LGS.

To operate a Lazada store, you need to understand the consumption trends in the Southeast Asian market. The main consumers in the Southeast Asian market are young people with low spending power, so it is more appropriate to choose products that are profitable, have a high repurchase rate, and have a wide audience.
