Pinduoduo operation skills

This article shares some Pinduoduo operation skills, provides methods and paths for those who are confused about Pinduoduo operations, and suggests that Pinduoduo operators should be familiar with every gameplay of the platform and play with every function, so as to make money. It is recommended for people who are exploring Pinduoduo operations to read.

It is said that Pinduoduo is much easier to do business than Taobao. I think so too. Pinduoduo is very user-friendly and its advertising can be said to be very fool-proof. You just need to tell Pinduoduo how much money I will give you for an order, and leave the rest to Duoduo. Duoduo will help you to complete the transaction. Isn't it very simple?

In my opinion, it is and it is not. It is true that it has lowered the entry barrier for e-commerce. As long as you have good products, you can sell well on Pinduoduo. It is not true that there are not many merchants who really make money on Pinduoduo. What I hear most now is: I have quit the store. I don’t want to work on Pinduoduo anymore. If Pinduoduo was so easy to do, there wouldn’t be so many people quitting the store.

As far as I understand, any platform has its own set of rules and gameplay. Some rules may seem simple, but it may not be easy to play them thoroughly. If things were really that simple, wouldn’t everyone be able to make money?

Here I have sorted out some of the Pinduoduo operation skills that I have mastered recently, and I hope it can help those Pinduoduo operators who are confused.

1. Tip 1: A high bid does not necessarily mean a high run, and vice versa

This technique can be said to have overturned most people's perception of Pinduoduo advertising. In our understanding, if your advertising is not exposed, what is the subconscious reaction? It is to increase the price.

I thought so at first, but after testing, I found that sometimes I raised the bid but still got no exposure. However, the low-bid plans created at the same time continued to have a large number of exposures. So is there a direct relationship between bid and exposure?

My conclusion is no, and even if there is, the relationship is very small. The factor that really determines whether a product can be exposed is the conversion rate of the product. If your conversion rate can reach 50%, let alone driving, the platform will give you exposure even if you leave it there motionless.

2. Tip 2: High customer orders are based on bids, low customer orders are based on production

There are two ways to advertise on Pinduoduo, one is by transaction price and the other is by investment-to-output ratio. When I first started using this, I always set it by investment-to-output ratio, so that I could calculate the cost. But when I saw that my single product with a customer price of 188 yuan had several orders refunded within seconds, I started to feel the pain. I set the investment-to-output ratio to 4, and I lost at least 47 yuan in advertising fees for each order refunded within seconds. The money I earned in a day could not cover the advertising fees for the refunds within seconds.

So I changed my strategy. For all high-customer-unit products, I would set a unified bid price, no matter how much the user ordered, and set it to around 10 yuan. With this setting, even if a few orders were refunded within seconds, I wouldn't feel so much pain. And there was an unexpected benefit: setting a low bid for high-customer-unit products can greatly increase the investment-to-production ratio. This is how I achieved an investment of 22 yuan per day.

The low-order products are relatively simple, with one order costing only about 10-20 yuan. The cost of such low-order products is generally low, so what is expensive? The courier fee. For such products, the production of about 2 can break even. If you set it to 4 or more, you will definitely make a profit. However, how to achieve a production of more than 4 is a technical job, and you need to be able to attract people and weight.

Tip 3: Yin-Yang SKUs do work

What is Yin-Yang SKU? Everyone should know a rule of Pinduoduo. If you have multiple SKUs in one link, the prices may be different. The exposed price that users see on the product list page is the SKU with the lowest price in your link. What does this mean?

To give an example, we sell mobile phones. The price of a mobile phone is 2,000 yuan. A mobile phone case is set in the SKU, and the price is set to 15 yuan. The mobile phone costs 2,000 yuan and the mobile phone case costs 15 yuan. The main picture that users see outside shows the mobile phone, but the price is the price of the mobile phone case, which is 15 yuan.

The user gets the illusion that this phone is priced at 15 yuan, how can it be so cheap? Out of curiosity, users will click in to take a look. Once they click in, your click volume will increase, and the click-through rate will increase, making your link more competitive and easier to get exposure.

This is the Yin-Yang SKU. Of course, this is just an example. In reality, the platform will not allow you to set such an outrageous price difference. However, for hot-selling products, the price difference of 10 yuan is enough to attract a large number of users to click in.

4. Tip 4: If the link doesn’t work, let the bullet fly for a while

I have several links that were not very popular at first, but suddenly one day the data increased several times, and then stabilized at a high level. My understanding is that as long as the link has stable exposure, clicks and transactions in the early stage, such a link can continue to be paid attention to. If it does not explode, it is likely that it is accumulating link weight. Once it has weight, it may take off when the system pushes it one day.

I had an autumn and winter product. After it was launched, there was no data at all. I was about to give up. Suddenly, one day, the exposure increased by dozens of times. I thought someone was brushing the data to my site, so I didn’t pay much attention. As a result, I received a few orders that day, and then I started to receive orders continuously. A link that was about to be shut down, just like that, came back to life. Wait and see, maybe your link will give you a surprise.

5. Tip 5: Not all links can drag down prices

Do we have such an operating habit, that is, after a new link is launched, we sell it at a loss first, and then start to slowly lower the price when the volume increases, until it is put into production and profitable? At the beginning, I also operated according to this idea, but it felt different when I was actually operating. If you lower the price, there will be no exposure. If you don’t delay, you will lose money, and if you delay, it will be a normal situation for it to fail.

How did I solve this problem? First of all, you have to understand that not all links can be dragged down. The premise of dragging down prices is that exposure is increasing, orders are increasing, and the daily limit is not enough. If you can't even run the limit, it means that this link does not meet the conditions for dragging down prices, just like harvesting crops before they are ripe, which will definitely kill the link.

Therefore, before raising the price, you need to determine whether the link meets the conditions for raising the price. If the conditions are met, you can raise the price by adding 1 cent each time. Don't add too much. Some say to raise the price by 5%. It depends on the bid. If I bid 20, 5% is 1 dollar, and you can just reduce it by 1 dollar and don't make the link.

6. Skill 6: With good quality, even a fool can take off

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t drive. Most likely it’s not a problem of ability. I use the same driving ideas, and some of them can drive very well, while others just can’t drive enough exposure. Even if I force it, it still can’t be pulled. It’s mainly a product problem. Standard products, not well-known, fierce competition, and no price advantage, it’s really hard to pull such products.

If you put up a link that sells 20 rolls of toilet paper for 10.9 yuan, free shipping, the link will definitely fly. I have also seen a store with a daily sales of 3 million. What do they sell? Masks, 39.9 yuan for 200 pieces. Such a link does not require technology, and it will sell like hot cakes when it is posted. Of course, you need to have such a supply chain.

There are only two situations when choosing products: those with price advantages and those without price advantages. The latter is more common. If the product has no advantages, you can only practice your internal skills. Once you have mastered your internal skills, when you encounter a good product, you can just wait to make money.

VII. Conclusion

There are many operating skills for Pinduoduo. It can be said that there is a skill for each step, and there is knowledge everywhere. If you really want to do Pinduoduo well and make money, you still have to constantly hone your basic skills, familiarize yourself with every gameplay of the platform, and play every function. Only in this way can you run faster than others and earn more.
