Cross-border e-commerce is global, intangible, instant, and paperless. It can break through barriers between countries and make international trade borderless. This article will talk about the current status of the cross-border e-commerce industry. In recent years, the country has launched a series of measures to support the development of cross-border e-commerce in order to achieve a higher level of development. In addition to issuing some favorable policies for the development of cross-border e-commerce, my country has also set up cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones, held cross-border e-commerce trade fairs, and established cross-border e-commerce return warehouses to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce. In the process of cross-border e-commerce development, economic development and cooperation have a relatively large impact on cross-border e-commerce. The RMB joined the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) in 2015, making it a truly world currency and greatly improving its settlement status in international trade. The inclusion of the RMB in the SDR not only saves the cumbersome process of currency exchange in foreign trade settlement, but also effectively avoids the risks brought by exchange rate fluctuations, which is conducive to cross-border investment and transactions by Chinese companies and further promotes the development of cross-border e-commerce. Under the "Belt and Road" initiative, the ties between China and countries around the world are becoming increasingly close. As of February 6, 2022, China has signed more than 200 cooperation documents on jointly building the "Belt and Road" with 148 countries (regions) and 32 international organizations, which has led to increasing economic and trade exchanges between China and various countries. The rapid development of cross-border e-commerce has become a new model of foreign trade. With the development of Internet technology and the upgrading of people's consumption needs, the application of cross-border e-commerce has become very common. Taking Alibaba Group as an example, there are more than 1 billion active consumers as of 2021. Cross-border e-commerce can be accepted by a large number of consumers, on the one hand, thanks to the globalization of the economy and the popularization of Internet technology, and on the other hand, thanks to the change of people's consumption concepts and the enhancement of consumption capacity. The development of cross-border e-commerce is naturally inseparable from the support of the Internet, communication technologies, etc. In recent years, emerging technologies such as Internet media and blockchain have also enabled cross-border e-commerce to develop to a higher level. In general, if the current status of the cross-border e-commerce industry is analyzed from the political, economic, social and technical levels, it can achieve a higher level of development. |
