1. From the big data survey, we can see that the demand for domestic products overseas is constantly increasing, and people's enthusiasm for domestic products is really increasing day by day. In addition, domestic products are also increasing their exports to foreign countries, and their market share in many places abroad is increasing. Therefore, there are people who make tens of millions of dollars a year in cross-border e-commerce, and there are also many who can only make a living, and of course there are many who lose money.

2. Focus on the field you are good at, choose a good platform, do a good job in product selection and operation, and delve into a niche field. If you do it full-time, the first thing is to break even and not lose money, and then gradually be able to support yourself. If your daily transaction volume can reach 500 US dollars, which is about 15,000 US dollars per month, then it is not a problem to earn 20,000 to 30,000 RMB a month. This is the income goal that can be concretized into days and months. The follow-up is to gradually increase the team on a large scale, and even move towards brand development. Branding overseas is an important trend in the future development of cross-border exports.

Based on my current understanding of Amazon (I don’t know if it’s correct), if I start doing FBA, I will most likely lose money, because FBA requires preparing inventory in Amazon warehouses in advance. If the products are not selected correctly, the inventory will easily accumulate.

3. If the products cannot be sold, they can either be shipped back to China or entrusted to Amazon for processing, or promoted at a low price. Either way, it is a waste of money.

Amazon also has another operation mode, which is to ship by yourself, also known as FBM, which means purchasing and shipping after receiving an order. This method does not require inventory in the early stage. When you are not sure about product selection, you can upload more products to test which ones sell well. But I heard that Amazon's recommendation weight for FBM is not as high as FBA. So it is estimated that it will be more difficult to do FBM than FBA at the beginning.

In fact, the current cross-border e-commerce platform still has certain prospects. When you do it, you need to rely on your own efforts. After all, there is fierce competition between platforms, and there is also competition between merchants!
