Shopee is more suitable for novice merchants, so what are the requirements for applying for a store on Shopee?

1. Requirements for entering Shopee:

Store preparation information:

1. Business license of enterprise/business license of self-employed

2. Legal person ID card

3. The store turnover in the past three months on domestic trade platforms (Taobao, JD.com, etc.) or cross-border platforms (Amazon, AliExpress, etc.), with more than 100 products

4. Mobile phone number and QQ mailbox that have not been registered with Shopee

Store opening process: 1. Register independently through the official website or green channel; if you choose a service provider, you must review its qualifications to avoid being deceived.

2. After submitting the information, there will generally be a reply within 3-5 days. Please pay attention to the email information (including the spam folder). The review results and store opening link will be sent via email.

3. After clicking the link to complete the store opening, immediately complete the basic settings such as payment information (choose one of Lianlian, Payoneer or Pingpong), logistics channel (mainly SLS) and return address.

2. Shopee platform commission charges

Orders subject to commission:

(1) Transaction commissions are only charged for completed orders (the commission base does not include order shipping costs);

(2) If the order is cancelled, no transaction commission will be charged;

(3) The same seller will be exempt from the transaction commission of each site in the first three months of trading on the platform.

Shopee reserves the right of final interpretation and does not rule out adjustments to charging items and standards. The current version of the rate is applicable until the Shopee platform releases a new commission rate.

Calculation rules for the commission-free period for new sellers on the Shopee platform:

Shopee provides a three-month commission-free period to new sellers who enter the platform for the first time. The commission-free period for new sellers on each site starts from the date the seller opens a store on the corresponding platform.

Example:

(1) Seller A opens a store on the Singapore site on July 1, so the store on the Singapore site will start to be charged commission on October 1;

(2) Seller A opens a store in Malaysia on September 1st, so the store in Malaysia will start to be charged commission on December 1st.

Transaction Fees

The Shopee platform began charging sellers a 2% transaction fee on January 1, 2019. This fee is actually a handling fee that needs to be paid to the transaction clearing service provider. Previously, this part of the fee has always been borne by Shopee.

Transaction fee standards:

(1) The handling fee is 2%;

(2) For completed orders (both COD and non-COD orders will be charged);

(3) Charge a handling fee based on the order amount (including shipping costs paid by the buyer);

(4) This handling fee is independent of the platform commission.

In general, when applying for a store on Shopee, you need to prepare a business license for a company or a business license for an individual business owner, then the legal person’s ID card, screenshots of domestic trade order flow in the past three months, etc.
