In the Internet age, high-quality content creation has become the key to gaining attention and revenue. The author of this article shares his experience in writing for Toutiao, and elaborates on how to create high-quality content from topic selection, scheduling, framework, cases, numbers, inventory, analysis, summary to interaction.

What is high quality?

I think there are three aspects: the first is a certain amount of reading, the second is the help to users, and the third is traffic revenue.

So I can manage multiple Toutiao accounts at the same time and publish multiple articles a day, and when the profit is good, I can make three to five hundred yuan.

Many people have often asked me how to write before, so today I will tell you my method. As long as you are determined to implement it, you can also make money by writing on Toutiao.

1. Topic Selection

The first step in writing a headline is to decide what to write?

What to write starts with choosing a topic. I have several methods to share with you about choosing a topic.

  • Decide based on your account positioning. Do you write about business, comedy, history, current news, or e-commerce? You don’t have to write about all kinds of content.
  • The most popular content at the moment, such as seasonal topics, college entrance examination, job hunting, etc., as well as popular events happening on the Internet.
  • What events are happening in your field? Policies, products, people, and activities that are worth sharing with everyone.
  • What you are best at and what you pay most attention to is closely related to your life.

2. Scheduling

There are many topics that you can write about, so you need to schedule based on your own understanding, resources, manpower, etc.

  • Sort by topic priority.
  • Sort by topic popularity.
  • Sort the topics by difficulty of writing.
  • Sort by user feedback.

I generally use three methods to manage my content schedule:

  • I just write down whatever interests me or what inspires me.
  • After recording in a table, mark the priority.
  • Create a blank document, put all the content for one month into one document, and then sort and write it.

3. Framework

With content scheduling, you can create content according to your progress and priorities.

Before I write the full article, I like to use a framework.

This is what my content mainly contains, how many chapters it is divided into, the order of each chapter, and the number of viewpoints.

With this structure, I will add or optimize the order during the writing process.

Of course, chapters that are inappropriate or cannot be written will be deleted and rewritten next time.

The advantage of a framework is that even if you don’t write it this time, you will still have a direction when you see a topic next time.

IV. Case

In the process of writing the main text, you must learn to present cases.

The number of cases does not matter, the key is to match them with your topic.

  • Case studies can increase the interest of users in reading.
  • Examples can add credibility to your writing.
  • Examples can help users better understand your point of view.

Therefore, writing is a test of the author's knowledge reserves and social experience.

5. Numbers

Whether it is the title, text, etc., everyone should use more numbers to help themselves.

  • Use more numbers, which is more intuitive for users. For example, it is not as intuitive to say that you can make money or a lot of money as to make 100 per hour or 1000 per day.
  • Using more numbers can strengthen users' understanding, credibility, etc. of the events, cases, people, products you describe.

But one thing to note is that the use of numbers must be rigorous, objective, true and based on evidence.

It is not to exaggerate in order to attract other people's attention.

VI. Inventory

You see, I am using this method to write now.

Learning to use the inventory method is the simplest way to write.

Secondly, the author can quickly sort out the context and write in a measured manner.

Most types of articles can be written by taking stock and dividing them into sections.

7. Analysis

Writing is to analyze your chosen topic. Whether you are writing a narrative or a business review, you just need to say what you see and think.

Without having to consider what methods are used, users are more concerned about how the matter itself develops.

In other words, does your sharing help users understand the project, industry, and gameplay more clearly, and does it provide them with cognitive help and inspiration?

The most feared thing in writing is empty talk, that is, after reading your content, no one knows what you are talking about, or it has nothing to do with the topic.

Generally speaking, when writing, you must summarize, refine, and sublimate at the end.

That is, what your article ultimately wants to guide users to pay attention to and what information and emotions they want to convey.

IX. Interaction

After writing the article, you must interact with the content.

For example, you can comment, forward, like, and collect messages. Also, when users interact with you, you should also actively respond.

The higher the interaction rate of your account, the greater the chance that others will see it.

Think about it, if your article doesn’t even have a single comment, who would be willing to read it and the platform wouldn’t recommend it.

The above nine points are my usual method of writing headlines. After you have written 50 or 100 articles according to this idea, you will become familiar with it.
