Hello, everyone. I am Jiang He. Combining the recent account creation and blogger companion project, I would like to talk to you about how a pure amateur can become a Xiaohongshu blogger? Let’s talk about the three parts of account monetization, account positioning and content operation.

1. Account Monetization

Start with the end in mind, why create an account? The essence is to monetize.

There are two paths to cash out:

The first type of supply advantage, such as jewelry customization, decoration design, eloquence trainers, etc., is to promote products in the public domain and convert them into high-order products in the private domain;

The second type of advertising monetization is when brands are willing to sponsor advertising;

Compared with the first type, the second type is increasingly difficult to monetize (except for the business order number), because the first type has a high average order value, a well-written character and introduction, and a high monetization efficiency, and can basically monetize with hundreds of fans.

However, most bloggers do not have a supply advantage. There are two ways to monetize:

Business order number: The core of video editing number and comic number is continuous posting and batch operation of multiple accounts;

Blogger account: This account receives advertising orders through personal settings. For this type of account, you need to think about what kind of brands are suitable for advertising and where to reserve advertising space.

Example:

When digital bloggers shoot products, they will display the desktop. This is a form of reserving advertising space. Not only the location but also the main text can be implanted. Monetization is not considered after positioning, but is constantly changed before and during the process.

2. Account Positioning

Many amateurs are unable to establish the account positioning at the beginning. Don’t be in a hurry at this time. You can first update 5 posts according to the rhythm, find benchmarks and imitate. The positioning of the account will become clearer as you post more.

The essence of positioning is to explore advantages, find advantages and amplify advantages. Positioning exploration can be carried out through the following three methods.

1. Willing to invest in the long term and spend energy at present

For example, if you like history, you will definitely watch various historical TV dramas, books, documentaries, etc., and you can become a history blogger.

If you spend a lot of time every day buying books, reading books, and writing book reviews, you can become a book list blogger. If your friends ask you for reference when buying home appliances, you can become a home appliance blogger.

Take stock of how you spend your time in a week, what you spend your energy on, and what you can output can become a blogger.

2. Your occupation and experience

What is your profession? What kind of content do you come into contact with every day and what kind of content can you produce? Is there a group of people who need your content? What are your past experiences?

3. Cross-border, integrated and horizontal marketing

The above two methods can basically help you find the content you want to update, but this is far from enough. If you only follow these two methods, it is easy to fall into the dilemma of vertical marketing, which means you will go further and further astray and write nothing but dry stuff.

At this time, can you use horizontal marketing methods to combine with other industry categories to produce differentiated content? For example, if you are a comic blogger related to couples' lives, there will be comics and couples. When the audience expands, the number of likes and comments will increase.

3. Content Operation

After the monetization and positioning are determined, the content operation level will be opened. For topic selection and note creation, you can refer to the previous notes. Here are 3 experiences about operation. ‍

1. Persistence is more important than creativity

If you stop updating, everything will stop! Stopping updating does not mean not updating for a long time, but losing the fixed update rhythm and belief. No matter what the traffic data is, you must maintain the normal update frequency.

For example, the Jianghe Liao Marketing Public Account is scheduled to be updated at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This way, the work for the week is determined. You can always select topics and take notes.

The same applies to the operation of Xiaohongshu. The update rhythm must be fixed and it must be updated at a certain time every week. Persistence is more important than creativity.

2. Don’t be anxious about traffic

It is normal to have bad data. Don't have too high expectations before publishing. Having no expectations often leads to unexpected results. The worst thing is to have too high expectations and then lose confidence in your creation if the data is not good.

3. Continuously improve operational details

Make progress a little bit every day and work hard. For example, if you are a digital blogger, you can take 200 notes under the keyword "DIY computer", export them through crawlers, see what everyone is updating, and then classify them specifically.
