Amazon Europe will launch a spring promotion in March

Amazon's nine European sites (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium) will simultaneously launch the 2023 European Spring Sale on March 27, 2023, and will last for 54 hours (March 27-March 29).

As the first major promotional event in 2023, this year's European Spring Promotion will have three highlights: comprehensive marketing support, including mass advertising, TV, radio and print advertising, while taking over the traffic of key advertising positions on Amazon's European site;

With more concentrated promotional periods, the duration of the 2023 Spring Sale will be shortened to 54 hours, gaining consumer attention in a short period of time; Europe's heavyweight promotions in the first half of the year will provide sellers with additional growth opportunities and increase exposure to new and old users.

In addition, Amazon has also prepared a 2023 European Spring Promotion Hot-selling Product Selection Guide for sellers based on interviews with sellers, big data and consumer insights.

In terms of product selection, in addition to the seasonal popular categories in spring and summer, such as garden gardening, clothing and footwear, electronic products, personal care and health, sports and outdoor, festivals and other related products, promotional activities will also trigger sales growth of some promotion-sensitive products.

Specifically, seasonal products include: home furnishings, household items, furniture, household tools, etc.; garden & gardening, garden decorations, garden furniture, insect repellent, sprinklers, etc.; car/bicycle accessories, travel tools; spring and summer clothing, yoga pants, men's and women's sports shoes, shorts, etc.; holiday items, Easter decorations, Easter children's gifts, Mother's Day gifts, and flower decorations.

High-priced promotion-sensitive products include electronic equipment, home appliances, entertainment equipment, office desks and chairs, home security devices, etc.

It is worth mentioning that Amazon Europe announced that Amazon has launched the Amazon Sustainability Accelerator in cooperation with EIT Climate-KIC (Europe’s leading climate innovation center) and WRAP (the UK’s leading circular economy consulting agency).

This is a 12-week program for early-stage startups that aim to create more sustainable products or develop recycling technologies. The accelerator will have two different tracks - first, products focused on sustainability, and second, recycling technologies. Both cohorts will run in parallel but with separate support for their specific needs.

Successful participants will receive a financial boost including over £30,000 or €40,000 in grants and credits, expert mentoring, free account management and a feature on the Amazon Launchpad Storefront.

This year’s Amazon Accelerator Program is best suited for brand owners (early-stage startups) registered in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland that are in the early stages of operations. Applications are open until March 17, 2023, and successful participants will be announced in the spring.
