What are the three types of Amazon sellers?

In addition to different sales models, Amazon also has different types of accounts for Amazon sellers. This article will tell you what the three types of Amazon sellers are.

There are three types of Amazon seller accounts: SC, VE and VC.

1) SC: (Seller Central) is the most common account. Currently, more than 99.9% of the accounts we talk about and operate are SC accounts. Whether you are self-registered or open a global store, when you log in to your account, the Seller Central logo is displayed in the upper left corner, which is a SC account. This type of account is the most common and has the basic permissions required for third-party sellers on the Amazon platform;

2) VC: (Vendor Central) is the same as the previous VE (application for this type of account was stopped in 2018). The VC account is also a platform launched by Amazon for suppliers. Compared with VE, the VC account has greater permissions and can obtain more sales data on the Amazon platform in the background. However, unlike the VE account, the VC account is invitation-based, that is, you will be invited to register only if Amazon takes a fancy to your product. To a large extent, this means that this is a result that can only be achieved after the product and brand have been accumulated, rather than a result that can be achieved by pursuing nothing.

Amazon has a dedicated team that keeps an eye on the data from each device in each category. Sellers with good sales performance and who have already emerged can easily come into their sight.

If Amazon thinks your product is very good and has broad market prospects, it will actively invite you to become a VC supplier so that everyone can make money and prosper together. This means that the merchant's products must have a certain amount of brand accumulation.

Once you become a VC supplier, you become a partner of Amazon to make money together. In this way, Amazon will give the account many permissions, which are not available to ordinary SC account sellers!

3) VE: (Vendor Express) is an account provided by Amazon to suppliers, with strict requirements, such as being a US company, US tax number, etc. However, according to reports, this account has been closed for applications.

Generally speaking, there are three types of Amazon sellers: SC, VC, and VE. Applications for VE are no longer accepted. VC accounts have greater authority and a higher threshold than VE accounts.
