Today I will introduce you to cross-border e-commerce. There are actually quite a lot of businesses doing this now. If you are interested, you can also apply for it individually. What are the cross-border platforms that self-employed individuals can apply for? I will introduce them to you below.

What are the cross-border platforms that self-employed individuals can apply for?

Amazon, Shopee, eBay, Lazada, Wish.

1. Amazon. A monthly service fee is required to enter the Amazon cross-border e-commerce platform. The monthly service fee for the US site is US$39.99/month, the European site is 39.99 euros, and the UK site is 25 pounds.

2. Shopee is a cross-border e-commerce platform that is free to join. It does not charge any entry fees. However, you need to pay commissions later. Shopee provides a 3-month commission-free period for new sellers who first join the platform. The commission rate can be divided into 3 levels. For orders with a total amount of more than 1 million US dollars last month, the commission rate is 5%. For orders with a total amount of more than 500,000 US dollars, the commission rate is 5.5%. For orders with a total amount of less than 500,000 US dollars, the commission rate is 6%.

3. eBay. eBay stores are divided into basic stores, advanced stores and super stores. Stores of different levels will charge different fees. There are two charging methods: monthly and annual. The number of free listings per month, the proportion of listing fees and transaction fees charged by stores of different levels are all different. However, the higher the store level, the more free listings there are, and the lower the rates of other fees.

4. Lazada: There is no fee to join, but a sales commission is charged, which is between 1% and 4%. There is no annual fee required.

5. Wish: It is free to create an account and open a store on Wish, and there is no charge for uploading product information. However, Wish will charge a certain percentage or amount of commission from each transaction. That is, after the item is sold, 15% of the income (sale price + postage) of the item is charged as commission.

At present, the four mainstream cross-border e-commerce platforms that are more recognized in the market are Amazon, eBay, AliExpress and Wish. After all, these companies have the longest history and are also huge in size. However, with the progress of the times, many excellent e-commerce platforms have emerged in the later period.
