The Shopee platform has a new store incubation period for sellers who have just opened a store. They need to complete the novice tasks before they can graduate successfully. For sellers who are contacting it for the first time, they will be very curious about the difference between graduating and not graduating from Shopee!

First, let’s take a look at the graduation requirements during Shopee’s incubation period:

1. Open stores in at least two sites;

2. At least one store has an ADO (average daily order volume in the graduation month) ≥ 1;

3. The historical deduction points of all stores are less than 3. The historical deduction points are calculated as the total deduction points since the store was opened and have nothing to do with the system deduction points being cleared.

4. The store cannot have infringing or counterfeit goods.

5. The order cancellation rate due to seller reasons must be ≤ 2%.

For example, during the incubation period, the number of orders canceled by sellers = 2. At this time, the total number of orders of the seller during the incubation period must reach 100 to meet the graduation criteria. Therefore, everyone should either increase the number of orders or avoid buyers canceling orders. Of course, the latter is easier.

For those sellers who have not graduated from the incubation period, the biggest concern is what will happen?

It does not mean that you cannot continue to open a store before graduating from the Shopee store incubation period, but that you will be assigned to the customer service team by the platform. Compared with the operations manager, the customer service team has fewer permissions, such as no event rights and no qualifications for platform traffic support. In other words, sellers have to register online by themselves, and it is also difficult to participate in activities. This has a great impact on novice sellers.

Another very important point is that you cannot open a new store, which means you cannot open a store on other sites. This way, compared to sellers who have multiple Shopee stores, you have no advantage.

In fact, it is not difficult to pass the Shopee incubation period. As long as you complete the novice tasks as required, do not violate the rules, use various methods to increase sales, and don’t worry about losing money, you can basically pass the incubation period.

So all you have to do is decorate the store, put products on the shelves after selecting them, ship them after placing orders, provide product after-sales service, etc. You just need to add new products steadily and try to complete the tasks as a novice. Then you will easily be assigned to the operations manager team.

The tasks for a new Shopee store are as follows:

1. Complete the listing of 50 products

Note: No counterfeit goods (fake stores will be directly frozen), infringing goods, no banned/embargoed items. Please do not list the same product repeatedly, and pay attention to reasonable product pricing.

When sellers list SKUs, they must pursue quantity while also ensuring quality.

(2) Store order cancellation rate ≤ 2%: Please be sure to avoid the following three situations: automatic cancellation by the system due to out-of-stock or slow delivery, cancellation by the seller himself, and cancellation by the buyer due to the seller's fault.

For example: The number of orders canceled by the seller during the incubation period = 2. At this time, the total number of orders of the seller during the incubation period reaches 100, which meets the graduation criteria.

After joining Shopee, the platform has a brief support assessment for novice sellers, which is what we call the Shopee incubation period, which is generally three months.
