This article introduces the case of selling goods with pictures and texts, shares the differences between traditional ways of selling goods with pictures and texts and live video, and discusses the advantages and applicable scenarios of selling goods with pictures and texts. Through in-depth analysis of the operation methods and successful cases of selling goods with pictures and texts, it helps readers understand how to use pictures and texts to sell goods, and provides inspiration for matrix selling thinking, which is suitable for readers who are interested in e-commerce operations.

In the face of absolute power, all money-making tricks are vulnerable.

Today I would like to share with you a case of promoting good products, hoping it will be of some inspiration to you.

01Good things with pictures and texts can also bring goods

When people talk about selling good products on Douyin, the first things that come to mind are short videos and live broadcasts.

But in fact, there is a more traditional way to sell products – selling products through pictures and texts.

It is to share product details in the form of pictures, usually 3-5 pictures, accompanied by some music and text, and the style is similar to Xiaohongshu.

Because everyone uses Douyin regularly, their understanding of Douyin is its videos and live broadcasts.

There are also doubts about the ability of pictures to sell products.

In fact, picture and text sales are still the mainstream until now, such as Taobao, JD.com, Pinduoduo and various mini-program e-commerce platforms.

Although consumption channels have changed, user consumption behavior remains the same.

02How to promote products through pictures and texts

Compared with videos and live broadcasts, selling products through pictures and texts is simpler and more direct.

Firstly, from the perspective of content production, there is almost no need for real people to appear on camera, and even if they do appear, they don’t need to speak, they are just traditional models.

Therefore, as long as there are ready-made content templates and standards, product materials can be output continuously every day.

Secondly, in terms of product exposure, although the exposure is less, the users screened out are more accurate.

When users see a product picture and are interested, they will check it out; if they are not interested, they will swipe away. There is no need for any foreshadowing.

Thirdly, you may even need to purchase products to sell products through pictures and texts. You can directly use the merchant’s existing materials, or select pictures of the same product published on other channels, and then combine and optimize them to become sales materials.

By displaying the details of the product, users who are interested can directly click on the product card or window to purchase it.

Of course, relying purely on natural traffic currently relies more on luck, so when promoting products through pictures and texts, you still need to appropriately invest in traffic based on the content, products, and popularity to improve conversions.

03 Matrix brings goods, kills novices in seconds

In fact, selling products through pictures and texts is quite suitable for novices. After all, it is simpler in terms of production and product selection.

But novices are nothing in front of professional players and will be beaten badly.

Today I will show you a case of a professional graphic and text sales team working on TikTok.

This account is called "I Love to Eat Durian". It is a picture and text sales account. It currently has 60,000 followers, has shot more than 1,900 videos, updates 3-5 sales works every day, and has sold more than 160,000 items.

Do you think this is the end?

I suggest you take a look at the comment section of this account. On average, each work has more than 20 comments.

Ordinary people would think that this is a comment from a real user, because the content, avatar, and nickname of the comment are all set according to a user's role.

But after you carefully click on each account, you will find that all the accounts are run by the same team, and they are all accounts that sell products through pictures and texts.

I did a quick count and found that there were over 200 accounts that commented on this account's works.

Think about it, if each account brings in one order a day, 200 accounts would mean 200 orders, and they don’t even need to ship the goods themselves.

In fact, such matrix accounts + some of which are large ones, some of which have at least thousands of orders, so the profit of several million a year is definitely possible.

So this is the difference between ordinary individual players and team players. When you create an account and work hard every day to find products and materials and then publish them, compared with others who quickly publish and test with hundreds of accounts, the probability of success and the speed of change are definitely incomparable.

I also want to take this opportunity to tell you that don’t listen to others who say making money is easy, because there are actually big tricks behind it that they just haven’t told you.

It’s like when 200 accounts are testing a product at the same time, there will always be one account whose pictures, music, and text become popular, and then they are copied.

04Matrix thinking is compound interest

The core purpose of sharing this brief case is to tell you that you should always have matrix thinking.

One is a multi-matrix account, which enables more business attempts.

Secondly, in terms of monetization efficiency, it will be higher.

Here are three quick examples of matrix thinking:

1. Star Matrix Number

When WeChat public accounts were popular, a friend of mine created 1,000 accounts for celebrities’ daily sharing, recruited dozens of interns, and pieced together various news about celebrities’ daily lives every day, and then diverted the traffic to private domains, earning tens of millions of dollars a year.

2. Film and TV Series Matrix Number

We watch many film and television drama accounts on Douyin every day, and there are almost always teams behind them. A team has more than a dozen people, and more than 100 accounts update TV series, documentaries, variety shows, etc.

3. Entrepreneur Quotes Matrix

I have previously shared with you the Douyin and video accounts that contain edited quotes from entrepreneurs, such as Cao Dewang of Fuyao. You can find them by searching for related accounts on Douyin, as well as Zeng Shiqiang.

These accounts repeatedly edit the works of the same person, and only sell basic books in their windows, selling hundreds of thousands of copies a year.

Of course, the initial stage of matrix thinking is that you have enough time, energy and team to do this.

So to some extent, it is more suitable for mature teams.
