Last month, Sanyan exposed the chaos of "recycling-style jewelry live broadcasts frantically harvesting the elderly", which attracted widespread attention. The common point of this type of scam is that some people make up various tragic plots, and even claim to be the son of fans to gain sympathy, and then promise high returns, claim to cure diseases, and perform various magic shows to deceive fans' trust and induce fans to place orders. Most of those who are deceived are elderly people. Despite being exposed many times, such scams are still rampant and have been exposed by TV stations. 1. Recycling jewelry scam attracts TV station attention, anchor admits to fabricating plotRecently, the "Xiaoxi Banshi" program on Shandong TV's Qilu Channel released a series of investigative videos, introducing a 70-year-old aunt who became obsessed with "Dzi beads", bought them for 1,000 yuan each, and was brainwashed into waiting to get 800,000 yuan in return. This 70-year-old aunt bought 20 "Dzi beads" and spent 20,000 yuan under the brainwashing of a certain platform anchor "Coach Mao". The aunt's son was helpless and could only take the phone and return part of the order. The aunt also insisted that whoever intercepted her things would be responsible for her losses. In fact, this brainwashing routine is not new. It is still the same routine of curing diseases and saving lives and recycling at high prices, making the audience believe it through the interpretation of the plot. At first, "Coach Mao" refused to admit it. After being exposed by the TV station, he still said during the live broadcast that "good deeds will bring good results" and defended the so-called "helping the gods to overcome tribulations." Unfortunately, there were still many believers in the live broadcast room. Later, after the TV station complained to the relevant department, Coach Mao also gave in, admitting that he sold goods through fictitious plots during the live broadcast, and that they could not be recycled, and considered himself "a bit unconscionable." What’s funny is that Coach Mao also claimed that his own mother was deceived, which is really speechless. After the TV station reported the incident, Coach Mao’s account has been renamed “Laomaozi”. Although his account has not been blocked, it is suspected to have been restricted and his works can no longer be seen. It can be seen that Coach Mao has more than 400,000 fans on a certain platform, and his account also announced the next live broadcast, the theme of which is emotional topics. Judging from his past live broadcast history, he broadcasts live at 13:00 every day, and the live broadcast lasts more than 2 hours. He has broadcast live 28 times this month, which can be said to be quite "diligent". One of the stores mentioned in the TV report can no longer be searched, but the other one is still operating normally. The author saw that the so-called "Dzi beads" are currently selling for 39.9 yuan. Coach Mao’s report also made the author realize that the routines and methods now seem to have become more secretive. Their accounts no longer have the glaring word “jewelry”, and their methods seem to have been upgraded. 2. Continue to follow up. Some anchors have revived after being exposed. What new tricks are there in the scam?In previous in-depth reports, Sanyan deeply revealed the harvesting routines of a series of jewelry live broadcast rooms, such as "Poly Jewelry Group", "Moxi Jewelry", "Four Seasons Jewelry" and other live broadcast rooms. At that time, many of the live broadcast rooms were banned after the report, but Sanyan found that some of them changed their identities and went back online, or had been unbanned. The original "Poly Jewelry Group" live broadcast room opened a new account, but even the avatar and profile remained unchanged, for fear that others would not recognize it. Judging from his live broadcast history, he should have just been resurrected and started live broadcasting frequently after January 20. At about 6 o'clock today, the anchor started live streaming again. He explained that the previous account could not be broadcast because it was divided during the divorce, so he could not broadcast. He also said that he hated anchors who acted the most, and he never sold fake goods, and frantically warned netizens not to be deceived. He tried to prove himself as a conscientious anchor by exposing the industry's chaos, which might deceive some new netizens. But he repeatedly mentioned in the live broadcast room that he had to pay back 20 million yuan in the divorce, and that the 20 million yuan would be used to regain custody of his child. After hearing this, the author just felt that he was "pretending". Wasn't the live broadcast room blocked? Wasn't the divorce just acting? Moreover, he claimed that he was not selling goods, but he actually sold beads and agarwood soap. The most exaggerated thing was what he called "foot bath pills". They only cost 3 yuan but could cure the three highs and were beneficial to the body in various ways. Is this false advertising? They even claim that the things they sell are of great value, have magical effects, and can prolong life. The account of Four Seasons Jewelry has also been unbanned, but its live streaming permission seems to have been blocked. A short-term ban cannot completely eliminate these scams. The author has seen them resurrecting, changing their names and continuing to cheat the elderly. In previous reports, we summarized the common routines of anchors:
I hope readers can identify the above tricks and avoid being deceived. The author searched and found that there are quite a few live broadcast rooms that use the above routines. For example, in this live broadcast room, the host claimed that bracelets can remove toxins and even extend one's life by ten years. In addition to the healing effect of each piece of jewelry worth tens or hundreds of yuan, the host would also write on paper how much it was worth. A major feature of this anchor is that he does not use the shared bike service, but instead guides users to add chat accounts and calls on users to transfer money on the chat software before delivering the goods. There is also this anchor who packages himself as a rich man, driving a luxury car when going out, with all kinds of luxury car keys on the table, and the interior decoration gives people a high-end feeling. In the latest short video, he just took a luxury car to Beijing, but the IP was shown as being in Henan. In his live broadcast, he talked a lot about the so-called "circle". If you want to break out of the circle, you have to buy his things, and then you have friends who can recycle them. You can easily earn 1 million yuan for a house in a year. It's a typical high-price recycling routine. He claimed that he came to help the poor change their destiny, and would talk to his "uncles and aunts" about family matters such as betrothal gifts, and ask them to buy jewelry to change their destiny and reduce the burden on their children. Most of the videos on his homepage are promotional videos about “Filial piety is the first of all virtues”. The elderly are brainwashed through such means as "chatting about family matters", "reducing the burden on children", and "poor people can also become rich through jewelry collection". His common tactics are, "If you buy these, your destiny will change and you will be able to buy a house next year. Believe it or not? If you believe it, please write me a letter." The anchor below still claims to make 1 million from 800 yuan, using the same high-price routine. This female anchor's performance is a combination of selling misery, miraculous effects and high-priced routines. Of course, in addition to the old tricks mentioned above, the author also discovered new features of this type of jewelry routine. 1. De-jewelling Sanyan found that unlike previous account names that mostly contained the word "jewelry", there are now many account names that have no trace of jewelry at all. Perhaps precisely because their accounts do not contain the word "jewelry", their account traffic diversion methods are also different. Previously, most jewelry accounts rarely posted videos, so the anchors had to act during the live broadcasts to attract netizens through the plot. The author has found that many accounts now attract traffic through short videos. 2. Short video traffic generation The short video content of these accounts is surprisingly consistent. Most of them focus on family matters such as filial piety, children, and bride price. It is obvious that the target audience is the elderly. 3. The cunning rabbit has many burrows and many backup numbers The author also found that some anchors have multiple backup accounts, and it seems that once their accounts are restricted, they will immediately change their identities. 4. Guide to off-site transactions It seems that in order to avoid platform supervision, some anchors guide netizens to conduct transactions outside the platform, not placing orders through the window, but transferring money through social software. Another point is that their main product has changed from "woolly rhinoceros" some time ago to "agarwood". To be honest, after watching these outrageous live broadcasts, those exaggerated performances even make people laugh. However, it is this kind of routine that is actually deceiving the elderly people of our parents' generation, which immediately makes people angry. Why does such an exaggerated and clumsy performance still exist after waves of exposure? Is the platform not responsible? In live streaming e-commerce, the jewelry category is very complicated. The platform may not take a one-size-fits-all approach due to reasons such as commissions, and the above-mentioned "fraudulent anchors" actually took advantage of loopholes in the law. They dared to show up and use flattering rhetoric to make false promises, such as "recycling before the New Year, or recycling after the New Year." The time limit is broad, and it's a voluntary act, but the elderly are indeed deceived and emptied their pockets to buy a bunch of useless things. Older people who are slower to get online may be trapped, and the scythe is being swung wildly. Author: Sanyan Pro Source: WeChat public account: Sanyan Pro (ID: sycaijing) |
