How does eBay charge? Introduction to charging standards

1. Store subscription fee

There are two main types of eBay sellers: non-store sellers and store sellers. Store sellers need to pay a certain store subscription fee, which is divided into five levels. The minimum annual subscription fee is US$4.95.

eBay store sellers' charges are divided into monthly charges and annual charges. The annual subscription fee is lower than the monthly subscription fee, but both are paid on a monthly basis.

2. Product listing fees

eBay has a limit on the number of product listings that sellers can post. Generally, non-store sellers are allowed 50 free listings per month. If the limit is exceeded, fees will be charged according to the charging standards.

For store sellers, the higher the store level, the more free listings you can post, and the fees for listings exceeding that level will be lower.

3. Transaction Commission

Like other platforms, eBay also charges a certain commission for platform product transactions, and the commission rates for different categories are also different. The general rate is around 3.5%-9.15%. The transaction fee for non-store sellers will be higher, and a 12% commission will be charged.

It is also important to note that if the account drops below standard, the transaction fee will increase by 4%.

4. Withdrawal Fee

Currently, eBay only supports PayPal as a payment method, so a certain fee will be incurred when withdrawing cash. This fee is paid to PayPal, not collected by eBay.
