Starting a business is not easy and requires careful consideration. The author of this article shares six tips before starting a business to help novices avoid risks.

If your current monthly salary is only four to five thousand, or seven to eight thousand yuan, you may have bought a house in your hometown county, or are planning to buy a house, etc.

If you want to prepare more money to start a business, I would like to give you these six suggestions before you start your business.

Why can I mention this? Because I have more than 10 years of entrepreneurial experience. I have been involved in both virtual and real projects. I have earned my first pot of gold in life, and I have also lost tens of millions of investments.

So sharing some of my real experiences may inspire you.

1. Start small

When a novice starts a business, the thing they fear most is going all out and investing everything they have into it.

First, don't invest small amounts of money . Don't invest all of your 100,000 or 200,000 yuan. If you fail, you will not only have no emergency money, but you will also have to borrow money, which is even more difficult.

In case of losses in the early stage, there will still be liabilities.

The second is to invest little resources . Don’t pull in all your relatives and friends to promote your product right after you start. If you don’t do it well, you will inevitably be ridiculed by others.

Moreover, many resources are disposable. You can ask others for help once, but if you ask them several times, the resources will be consumed and the debt of favor will be more difficult to repay.

The third is that the project should have a small investment . Don’t set up a 100-square-meter, 100-acre, team of 20 to 30 people at the beginning. As a novice with no experience, it is easy to fail.

Therefore, it is best to make small investments and test small models in the early stages.

2. Start with what you are good at

Don't just do what others say about making money.

There are so many projects that can make money, and everyone who makes money says that his or her project is profitable.

But ask yourself what you are good at, what you know, and what you have.

For a project that starts completely from scratch, it’s not that you can’t succeed, but it’s very difficult to succeed.

For example, if you want to make tea, but you don’t know much about tea, compared with someone who has been an apprentice in tea making for four or five years, at least your professional knowledge is not as good as others.

You want to open a noodle shop, but you have worked in a relative's shop for three to five months, learning how to carry plates, serve dishes, etc. Only by learning these things can you reduce the occurrence of basic mistakes.

If you have connections, money, experience, sources of goods, and channels, you will be more likely to succeed than others.

3. Start from street stalls and friend circles

Not all startups require renting a store, office building, or factory to make an app, mini program, or TikTok live broadcast room.

Most ordinary people’s entrepreneurship should start with a street stall, a WeChat account, a WeChat group, or a flyer.

First, if you can endure the hardships of working as a street vendor, you will understand how difficult it is to sit in an office.

Secondly, the cost of setting up stalls and posting on WeChat Moments is the lowest, which is what light entrepreneurship means.

4. Don’t do novel projects

There are too many new and unique projects promoted on the Internet, and I tell you that new projects can easily seize the market.

But the education cost for project users is also high. The key is that the technology, products, services and markets of many things are unstable.

When ordinary people start a business, they just have to do traditional projects.

Although the competition is fierce, there is market demand and templates, so it will definitely be sold.

5. Don’t be afraid of failure

The reason why you should start a business at a young age is mainly to give yourself more ability to take risks.

It costs 20,000 to 30,000 yuan to invest in a project. If you have more than 100,000 yuan, you can try three or four projects.

But if you invest more than 100,000 yuan at one time and then borrow money, in case of failure, you will not have a chance to turn things around for at least two or three years. Don't be too confident in yourself.

If you make a small investment, you don’t have to worry about failure. No one can say that starting a business is 100% successful.

This is true even if he has already started a successful business.

For example, although Alibaba and Tencent have created Taobao and WeChat, they still cannot create Kuaishou and Douyin.

Only by daring to try and fail and daring to face failure can you have a chance to succeed.

6. Don’t start a business in partnership

It is best not to start a business in partnership. It seems that the advantages complement each other, but in many cases, they just blame each other.

There are very few people who can truly start a business together and share the burden together.

Many partners start a business, but end up parting ways due to uneven distribution of benefits, poor work distribution, and uneven sharing of losses, and the project is not completed well.

When starting a business or project, start alone.

From writing content, making products, shipping, customer service, recruiting, etc., it is also a test of one's abilities.

You will also push yourself harder and not relax, instead of thinking that there are others to cover your back.
