Can I open an Amazon European site by myself? How does FBA charge?

Amazon is a cross-border e-commerce platform and is actually different from domestic e-commerce. When many friends engage in cross-border e-commerce, the threshold for entry is relatively high. For cross-border e-commerce, everyone needs to choose a site. Can an Amazon European site be opened by an individual?

1. Can I open an Amazon European site by myself?

No, it was possible in the past, but now Amazon has closed the entrance for individual registration. Now if you want to register an Amazon store, you must apply as a company. Even if you can apply for an individual account, I don’t recommend registering, because the credibility of individuals is relatively low, and some people maliciously follow the sale. In order to prevent this from happening, Amazon monitors the account more strictly, and it is easy to enter the second review, which is not conducive to subsequent operations.

2. How does FBA charge?

Amazon FBA Fees = Shipping Fees (a fixed fee per item based on size and weight) + Storage Fees (a pro-rated fee per cubic foot per month)

1. Delivery fee (fixed fee per item based on size and weight)

Amazon sellers can check the delivery fees they need to pay based on their product size (cm) and outbound shipping weight.

Shipping weight (gm) = your unit weight + our packaging weight

Logistics costs for each sales channel:

(1) European unified distribution network:

With one seller account, you can sell FBA products on all of Amazon’s European marketplaces.

(2) Multi-country inventory:

You can also use Amazon’s Multi-Country Inventory Program to send products directly to an Amazon FBA center in a European target sales location, and Amazon will stock your product shipments closest to local customers.

(3)European logistics integration services:

You only need to send the product to a logistics center of an Amazon European site, and you don't need to pay any additional EFN fees for this. You only pay the delivery fee applicable to the local inventory of the mall where the customer places the order.

2. Storage Fees

Amazon Logistics FBA long-term storage fees:

Amazon FBA will charge a monthly long-term storage fee (£4.30 per cubic foot/€170 per cubic meter) for inventory that is more than 365 days old. It will also begin to implement a minimum long-term storage fee of £0.10/€0.10 per item per month.

Note: All fees do not include Value Added Tax (VAT) that sellers must pay. The above examples are for reference only. Amazon does not guarantee the accuracy of the calculations.

Individuals cannot change the Amazon European site now. It was possible before, but now the individual registration entrance has been closed. So if you want to join the Amazon European site, you can only join as a company.
