Amazon's multiple variations do have advantages. For the same product, there are multiple variations of colors. You can send products in each color. This way, you don't have to worry about bad reviews. You can merge them into another color, and they will still be good reviews.

It will not affect the change of star rating. But there is one disadvantage. The variants that cannot be merged can only fight alone. Because the star rating has deteriorated, it can only be treated as clearing inventory. 1. Amazon Variant Ranking Rules

2. Abuse of variant rules

Some sellers abuse variations to improve their rankings, which is also prohibited by Amazon and may lead to the removal of sub-variations. The specific rules for abusing variations are as follows:

1. Adding a child product that is not a true variation of the parent product, such as adding the wrong variation to an already created ASIN.

2. Grouping variants of products of the same category with different styles will cause the sub-variants to be removed from the shelves;

3. Changing the product details page of the parent product so that it does not match the child product.

4. Merge zombie listings.

5. Use a table to manually add attributes that did not originally exist as variant attributes.

6. Put the new product line into the old variant group in order to get the ranking of the old variant.

If your product is removed from the shelves due to violations, it is recommended to deal with the variants in a timely manner to avoid greater impact. The operation is as follows:

1. Unbind the parent variant and child variant, and then bind your own variant back using the table;

2. Collect evidence and report to Amazon to request deletion.
