What is the Amazon order delivery process? What should I pay attention to?

Now there are more and more merchants opening stores on Amazon. Under such circumstances, the competition among Amazon merchants is very fierce. As an Amazon merchant, you need to understand many aspects. What is the Amazon order delivery process?

After a buyer adds your product to their shopping cart and checks out, Amazon processes their order as follows:

1. Amazon places the order in the [Pending] status. The quantity of the item purchased by the buyer is deducted from the total quantity of items in [Manage Inventory]. If the quantity of the item is one piece when the order is placed, the item will be removed from the Amazon product page when the order is processed and will appear in [Manage Inventory] with a quantity of zero.

Pending orders will not appear in the Orders report or the Unshipped Orders report and will be grayed out (no action can be taken) in Manage Orders. Amazon holds all orders for 30 minutes to give buyers a chance to cancel them. Orders canceled by buyers will appear in Manage Orders as canceled orders and will be grayed out. In some cases, our payment and order detail verification process may extend order processing time by up to 21 days. For more information, see Pending Orders. If a buyer contacts you while an order is in Pending status, have the buyer contact Amazon Customer Service for more information.

2. Amazon verifies the order. Amazon will attempt to verify the buyer's payment method and order details. During this stage, one of the following three different status types will appear in Manage Orders:

Not shipped:

Payment verification successful.

Waiting:

Payment verification was initially unsuccessful or has been delayed. In some cases, our payment and order detail verification process can extend order processing time by up to 21 days. Pending orders should not be shipped even if the buyer contacts you directly. Pending orders will not appear in the Orders report or the Unshipped Orders report and will be grayed out (no action can be taken) in Manage Orders.

Cancelled:

If the payment is not approved, or there is fraudulent behavior, the order will be canceled. If an order is canceled, Amazon will only record the order as "cancelled" in [Manage Orders] without further notice. You do not need to take any other action.

If a buyer contacts you about a canceled order and you still have available inventory, you can ask the buyer to place a new order on Amazon.

3. After confirming the order payment, Amazon will do the following:

Change the status to [Not shipped];

Sends order confirmations with estimated delivery dates to buyers and order notifications to you.

Note: Do not rely solely on email notifications for order confirmations. Check the Manage Orders page or Order Reports at least once a day to determine if there are any unshipped orders.

NOTE: If an order is delayed due to Amazon's processes, we will provide the buyer with a new delivery date based on the date the order is restored from the "pending" status.

4. You process the order. If the order is in the [Not Shipped] status, you must ship or cancel the order. Remember that buyers can leave feedback on orders that sellers cancel.

Note: Amazon expects sellers to ensure that inventory levels are accurate at all times. Failure to adjust your inventory in a timely manner may result in excessive pre-fulfillment order cancellations. See Seller Metrics for information on how we factor canceled orders into your overall performance.

After reading the above introduction, you should know what the Amazon order delivery process is. Amazon merchants need to pay attention to many details when opening a store, which have been introduced to you in the above content.
