If you sell an item and for some reason you are unable to complete the sale, you can cancel the transaction and get your final transaction fee refunded in our Resolution Center. The reasons for canceling the transaction include: the item was lost or damaged, there was an error in listing the item, or there are other reasons why you cannot complete the sale.
When you cancel a transaction, there are no penalties for the buyer. If the buyer does not pay, please see what to do when the buyer does not pay (Abandoned Bid Dispute Process).

To receive a refund on your transaction fee, you will need the buyer to agree to cancel the transaction. Contact your buyer and request his/her agreement to cancel the transaction, and let them know that they will receive a notification from eBay to initiate this process. Here are some tips for communicating with buyers.

You need to open a case with our Dispute Resolution Center, which can establish a dialogue between you and the buyer through our system and help you track the case. Learn more about how to use the Dispute Resolution Center here.

Seller selection. eBay currently divides the seller evaluation system into ordinary buyers, high-quality sellers and gold sellers (super high-quality sellers). Gold sellers are those with a gold medal with the words "Top Rated Seller" displayed in the Seller information list.

Such sellers not only need to meet certain standards in terms of user reviews, transaction amounts, delivery speeds, etc., but also need to provide better buying and selling services to obtain certification, such as more comprehensive refund/return services.

If the eBay purchasing agent seller does not ship the goods, we can negotiate with the seller through customer support. eBay is a large platform and transactions are very fair. You don't have to worry about the seller not shipping the goods. If the seller does not ship the goods, you can apply for a refund.
